August Pass Overview
The August Pass is for individuals who are seriously considering future membership at West Hillandale Swim Club (WHSC). Pass holders receive guest access to the pool and facilities from August 1 through Labor Day.
Pass Details
- Fee: $225 flat, non‑refundable (Family, Couple, or Single)
- Eligibility: One-time purchase per household
- Additional Guests: Guest Pass Credits are available for purchase via your MemberSplash account. Unused credits expire at the end of every summer.
By purchasing a WHSC August Pass, you confirm that you have reviewed and accept the membership terms in the WHSC Bylaws and Pool Rules, available at www.whscpool.org.
Priority Waitlist Benefit
WHSC maintains a multi-year waitlist. Households that purchase an August Guest Pass are moved from the General Waitlist to the Priority Waitlist for the next membership cycle. When new memberships become available, invitations are extended to the Priority Waitlist first, followed by the General Waitlist, in the order individuals originally joined the list.
This structure allows prospective members to experience the club while improving their position for future membership consideration.
Important Information
Guest Access Only: The August Guest Pass does not grant membership. It provides a one-time opportunity to use WHSC facilities before potential membership in a future season.
Swim Team Eligibility: Participation in the Swim Team is limited to full WHSC members.
New Member Costs: If invited to join, new members pay a one-time Initiation Fee plus annual Dues and Infrastructure Fees, based on membership type. Current rates are posted on our website.
Membership Availability: Membership openings vary each year and depend on how many current members renew. The WHSC Board reviews renewals each spring and determines how many new invitations can be extended for the upcoming season. Historically, Priority Waitlist households have been offered membership ahead of those on the General Waitlist, but availability is never guaranteed.
Waitlist Transparency: WHSC does not provide individual rankings or predict outcomes. Movement from the waitlist depends on annual renewals and the number of invitations accepted.
Waitlist Retention: The General Waitlist carries over from year to year. Invitations from both lists are extended in the order households originally joined.
